EclipSol Highlights

✨ Safe viewing of the solar eclipse through specialized glasses handed out by the City of Moncton
✨ Mystical face painting
✨ Live music
✨ A photobooth to capture the memory as a keepsake
✨ And more!

The solar eclipse is expected to begin in Moncton at 3:26 p.m. from the southwest direction and conclude at 5:43 p.m.

❗❗ Very important ❗❗

Looking directly at the Sun, without appropriate protection, can lead to serious problems such as partial or complete loss of eyesight.

In Moncton, the solar eclipse will be partial (99.89%). For those outside the path of totality, like in Moncton, the Sun appears to be partially covered by the Moon (partial eclipse).

When watching a partial solar eclipse, proper eye protection is required AT ALL TIMES. ❗

Lumen Exhibit

On display until April 28, 2024
At Resurgo Place (20 Mountain Road, Moncton)

A latin word meaning light, lumen is also the measuring unit of the power of light, as perceived by the human eye.

💡 What is light?
💡 Where does it come from?
💡 What are the uses and purpose of light?

The Lumen Exhibit sheds light on these questions.

Come and see light under all angles and analyze its behaviour by handling different light sources and obstacles. Let yourself be dazzled by the magic of refraction and discover polarization!

Produced by the Sherbrooke Museum of Nature and Science (https://mns2.ca/en/travelling/lumen/)
